Normal Skin

Normal skin feels even and balanced. It’s neither too dry, nor too oily. The T-zone may get oilier in hot weather but generally this area is oil-free. The skin is smooth, with fine, barely visible pores, no visible blemishes. After cleansing normal skin might need a little moisturizer (don’t skip it though), but overall the skin doesn’t feel tight or shiny. Normal skin is not prone to sensitivity.

As normal skin ages, it usually becomes drier.

Skin condition can vary even for people with normal skin due to changes in seasons, the environment, health, or other factors. Try to adapt your skincare to fit your skin's condition at any given time by supplying more moisture when the skin is dehydrated or focusing on inflammatory ingredients when the skin is irritates.

Skincare

  • Although you’re blessed with the skin type everyone wants and which requires least effort to care for, there are things you can and should do to keep your skin look at its best.
  • Wash your skin gently but thoroughly every day. There are no excuses for going to bed without removing makeup.
  • Use a toner/facial mist – not only helps with the hydration of the skin but facial mists also facilitate the absorption of nutrients from your serum, oil, cream or balm.
  • Although being the least problematic type, normal skin still requires nourishing and moisturizing. Keep up with a thorough skincare routine filled with powerful ingredients.
  • Exfoliate regularly to remove dead skin cells and to help the absorption of your moisturizer.
  • Use a broad spectrum sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB rays. You can use moisturizers with SPF30 or you can apply sunscreen with SPF30 after you moisturize.

Lifestyle tips

  •  Healthy food – gorgeous skin requires nourishing from within too. Fill your diet with veggies in all colors of the rainbow, nuts, omega-3s rich foods such as avocados and legumes. Avoid sugars, processed food, caffeine and alcohol.
  • Drink up – start your morning with a glass of lemon water to help balance your body's pH, and drink sufficient water throughout the day.
  • Workout – regular exercise is one of the keys to healthy skin. Exercise increases blood circulation and blood carries oxygen and nutrients to working cells throughout the body, including the skin.
  • Keep stress at bay - stress can affect your whole body, including your skin, hair, and nails. Meditation is a great way to keep the stress level low.
